GOOD TO KNOW

Questions about your notes

Where are my notes saved?

Notes are saved in this browser's local storage, not in a KDOOM account. They will not automatically appear on another device. Clearing browser storage or using private browsing may remove them, so export a backup for important work.

Can I use Notepad Pro without signing in?

Yes. You can write and organize notes immediately. No account is needed.

Can I bring in an existing document?

You can import a plain-text (.txt) or Markdown (.md) file up to 1 MB as a new note. Rich formatting from Word or HTML is not imported.

What can I export?

Download the current note as plain text or HTML, or download a JSON backup of all notes. Use Restore backup to add notes from that JSON file in another browser without replacing existing notes.

Is this encrypted or synced to the cloud?

No. Browser-local storage is convenient but is not encrypted account storage or cloud sync. Avoid putting secrets in notes on a shared device.
